JROTC drill team takes first at Leavenworth High School Drill Meet
On Jan. 12, the Smith-Cotton JROTC Drill Team competed at the first Leavenworth High School Drill Meet in Leavenworth, Kan. The Smith-Cotton Drill Team earned the overall championship trophy at the awards ceremony, bringing home a total of 10 other trophies.
They included a fourth place in armed regulation, first and fourth place in unarmed regulation, third place in armed exhibition, second place in unarmed exhibition and unarmed color guard, and first place in armed color guard and new cadet squad. The team was named first place overall in the unarmed division, and second place overall in the armed division.
