CMU president retiring after 17 years

Posted: Sunday, June 24, 2012 12:00 am | Updated: 12:06 pm, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

Central Methodist University in Fayette will launch a search for a new president with last week’s announcement that Marianne Inman, president of the college for the past 17 years, will retire effective June 30, 2013.

CMU Board of Trustees Chair Glenn Cox, a Sedalia native who lives in Bartlesville, Okla., said Inman’s departure will mark the close of one of the brightest chapters in the nearly 160-year history of the university. Cox said the board will determine its search process in the coming weeks.
