Wilson receives bachelor's degree from Colorado School of Mines

Michael “Mickey” J. Wilson received a bachelor of science degree in engineering physics from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. He graduated summa cum laude with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0. He completed the McBride Honors Program, earning him a minor in public affairs. He was awarded the Distinguished Student Award from the physics department. He also is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. He was a staff tutor at CSM for three years. Wilson is working on an international study of organic-based photovoltaics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. He will return to Colorado School of Mines in the fall to pursue a master’s degree in materials science and has been awarded a Bechtel Fellowship for his graduate work.He is the son of Duffy and Diana Oehrke Wilson, of Durango, Colo., and the grandson of Melvin and Bernadine Oehrke, of Sedalia.
