Posted: Wednesday, January 2, 2013 12:10 pm | Updated: 12:22 pm, Wed Jan 2, 2013.

Four Knob Noster High School students were among the 298 performers who participated in the 30th annual Merry Tuba Christmas on Dec. 13 at Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Kansas City. Musicians practiced together for an hour.

The youngest performer was 11 years old and the oldest was 78. The person who traveled the farthest to attend was a man from Sioux Falls, S.D. The event was presented by the Harvey Phillips Foundation Inc. in cooperation with the Kansas City Symphony, the Kansas City Board of Parks and Recreation and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
