The Smith-Cotton Talking Tigers recently competed in a speech tournament at California High School. They earned second place overall.
Students who placed were as follows: Kylar McNeal, fourth in extemporaneous speaking and first in radio speaking; Alec Wilken, seventh in humorous interpretation; Keelly Jones, fourth in humorous interpretation; Riley Garner, second in prose; Amanda Hodges, third in original oratory; Tristin Baro, third in storytelling; Ashlyn Witt, fourth in dramatic interpretation and fifth in humorous interpretation; Kylie Bales, first in storytelling and first in poetry; and Ramey Baro, first in original works.
