The 35 members of the Smithton High School Class of 2012 took time out from the pomp and circumstance of Friday’s graduation to exchange hugs and handshakes with faculty and staff and deliver white carnations to loved ones.
During the ceremony, friends and family cheered as students were recognized for earning thousands of dollars in state, institutional, private and local scholarships and academic awards.
