Students and staff at Parkview Elementary School wore pink Friday in honor of the late Marilyn Woolery, the former head cook in the school’s cafeteria who recently died after a battle with cancer.
Marilyn Woolery’s great-nephew Jayden Meyer cut his hair into a Mohawk style and dyed it pink in her honor.
Parkview Elementary School's singing group Parkview Pizzazz performs Monday during an assembly to celebrate the school's donations to the Salvation Army. Major Mark Haslett of the Salvation Army thanked the children and accepted the $235, 50 toys and about 300 pounds of food that was donated. Parkview Pizzazz, directed by Cindy Calafaty and Kylee Weber, sang Christmas songs for the school before Santa Claus made an appearance to thank students for their donations.
