Good news! Newsboys concert slated for Sedalia

Sedalia Christian Outreach Inc., is hosting the well known contemporary Christian music group Newsboys along with Family Force 5 and 7eventh Time Down at the Mathewson Exhibition Center, giving a “positive” spin on local entertainment.The concert, set for Sunday, Oct. 12, is the third for Sedalia Christian Outreach.“Sedalia Christian Outreach has become incorporated,” said group president John Hanson. “We became incorporated in May of this year. We are the same team that brought in Chris August back in the fall of 2013 and Audio Adrenaline. Our vision and our purpose is to provide positive entertainment for the community.”Hanson said they are receiving a good response.

Council approves SPD, PCAD dispatch merger

The Sedalia Police Department and the Pettis County Ambulance District will soon merge dispatch services after the agreement was approved during Monday’s Sedalia City Council meeting.The agreement allows PCAD to relocate its dispatching services within Pettis County, consolidating city and ambulance dispatch services. PCAD currently uses another provider for its dispatch services, but with this new agreement, those services will go through SPD at the Municipal Building.
