Dean Dohrman (R-51) offering opening remarks.“This is the time of year to put in a few extra hours. A special note to Jennie Jaynes

Jennie Jaynes Stadium has been tagged by a graffiti artist with a sentimental heart.Built in 1950, the stadium is seeing its final action before being replaced by a new multiuse complex under construction behind Smith-Cotton High School. Not all change is for the better

I’m glad I don’t have any grandchildren. I was thinking that, when I was listening to some friends talk about their school lessons. I was amazed that the parents were content to go along with the teachers as they attempted to drag the children into such bizarre undertakings.Okay, I have been out of school many years. I can still count in my head. When I visit fast food restaurants I know that the servers don’t know how much a hamburger costs. They only know how mu...

And since that day our dog has taught me a number of things....
