23 hours ago | | | Email

Sip some wine, and relax — a metro art trend, social painting, has found its way to Sedalia thanks to new downtown resident Kathy Rosenboom.Rosenboom and her husband Dr. Jonathan Rosenboom, a psychologist, recently moved to Sedalia from the Lake of the Ozarks. They have settled in to the former photography studio owned by Trina Mcswain at 314 S. Ohio Ave. While living upstairs Rosenboom plans to transform the first floor into a social painting studio called the “Painting Parlor.”Rosenboom said they moved to Sedalia to be closer to her parents and their children. She decided to open social painting classes because of her current location in downtown Sedalia and because she has taken classes before in other cities.
