Jelinek sparks Branson win

The Sedalia Travelers won the Zone 2 East tournament championship.The Travelers beat the Blue Springs A’s 6-4 and 10-3 on Sunday.Austin Weinberg pitched seven innings in the second game, holding the A’s scoreless through five before they finally broke through. Portion of Meyers Road closed for bridge repair

The Pettis County Highway Department closed Meyers Road at the Flat Creek Bridge south of Upton Road at 4 p.m. Monday. The department is working on bridge repair and, weather permitting, it is expected to reopen Aug. 1.Motorist using that section of Meyers Road should plan to take an alternate route.The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signage and drive safely through work zones.
