Operation Medicine Cabinet safely disposes of drugs
Sedalia Police Department Sgt. Kelley Casto, left, and Chief John DeGonia sort medications dropped off Saturday at Operation Medicine Cabinet. The police department and Bothwell Regional Health Center teamed up for the event, which resulted in the removal of 227 pounds of medications from Pettis County homes. About 85 people dropped off prescription and over-the-counter medicines for proper disposal by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
