Girls junior high basketball: S-C takes tourney title
The Smith-Cotton eighth-grade Tigers scored eight straight points in the fourth quarter Saturday to beat Warrensburg 48-36 in the championship game of the S-C Junior High boys basketball tournament.
Gavin Jones paced S-C (13-1) with 12 points. Keoni Hale, Zach Morrison and Tanner Powell had eight each.
