No. 16 Central Missouri trailed Missouri Western by eight with 3:20 to play in the second half, but came back to tie the game and win in overtime 74-71.
BreAnna Lewis sparked the comeback from the free-throw line, hitting a pair to make it 65-56 Missouri Western. After a Missouri Western turnover, Nicole Caddell hit a layup and moments later Keuna Flax hit another layup to put the Jennies ahead 63-62.
Missouri Western tied the game to force overtime, but in the extra period Flax hit a 3-point play and a pair of free throws to put the Jennies ahead. Missouri Western had a chance to tie the game with 10 seconds left in overtime but missed a layup and Caddell secured the rebound.
Flax scored 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Central Missouri — her sixth 20-point game in nine games with UCM. Lewis scored 19 points.
Central Missouri will host Northwest Missouri at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Multipurpose Building.
