The Sweet Springs Greyhounds took charge early Monday night in a 71-17 rout of Malta Bend in a nonconference boys basketball game in Malta Bend.

The Greyhounds (8-5) shot out to a 20-2 lead after one quarter and were ahead 45-6 at halftime.

Jeffery Hall scored a game-high 18 points for Sweet Springs. Zach Weber added 13 and Andrew Krause had 11.
