The Knob Noster Panthers knocked off the fifth-ranked boys basketball team in Missouri Class 3 on Friday night with a 59-52 overtime win over Higginsville at Knob Noster High School.
The Panthers (16-5, 4-2 Missouri River Valley Conference East) started strong, leading 15-7 after one quarter and 23-15 after two. Higginsville, which suffered its first loss of the season, tied the score at 36 after three quarters and the game was tied at 52 at the end of regulation.
