The Smith-Cotton Tigers finished  10th out of 13 teams Saturday in the varsity boys gold division of the Camdenton Laker Invitational cross country meet at Ha Ha Tonka State Park near Camdenton.

Jefferson City won with 52 points. S-C accumulated 256.

Chancey Johnson was the Tigers’ top finisher. He placed 30th in 17 minutes, 44.23 seconds. Victor Ronzon was 45th in 18:11.7, Michael Chernookiy was 54th in 18:27.84, Stephen Weeks was 61st in 18:43.65 and Andrew Mather was 66th in 18:54.08.

Kyler Haumann, of Ozark, won the 3.1-mile race in 16:09.95.

In the varsity girls gold division, the Lady Tigers sent only three runners.

Rachel Howieson was 40th in 22:50.34, Katlyn Geotz was 51st in 23:51.69 and Kaitlyn Walters was 54th in 24:15.01.
