McKenzie Treese struck out 15 batters Monday, and the fifth-seeded Smithton Tigers beat No. 4 Windsor 6-1 in the first round of the Kaysinger Conference softball tournament at Lincoln.

Kaley Snapp and Tristan Staus paced Smithton with three hits apiece. Kaitlyn Arnold and Kaitlynn Smith each had two hits, including a double, for the Tigers.

Smithton (3-6) will face  Green Ridge in the semifinals at 4 p.m. today in Cole Camp.

Windsor will meet Lincoln in a consolation semifinal at 4 p.m. today in Lincoln.
