Sacred Heart picked up its first win of the season in convincing fashion, routing Smithton 21-6 in five innings on Thursday at Centennial Park in a Kaysinger Conference game.


At the dish for the Gremlins (1-2, 1-0), Mason Kelchner, Nik Langston and Garrett Strange each drove in three runs. Kelchner had three hits while Langston and Strange tallied two apiece.


Winning pitcher Blake Nichols and reliever Kolin Brace combined to allow two earned runs on four hits.
