Junior Legion baseball: Juniors split on Friday, will get another shot at Fike Saturday

Posted: Friday, July 20, 2012 12:00 am | Updated: 12:05 pm, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

The Sedalia Junior Legion baseball team lost 7-6 in eight innings to Blue Springs-Fike but then bounced back with a 6-5 win over St. Joseph Post 11 on Friday at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field to earn a shot at the zone tournament championship.

The Juniors (22-11) will face Fike at 11 a.m. Saturday, and if they win that game, the teams will meet again in a second game for the title. Both teams have already clinched spots in the state tournament.
