Junior Legion baseball: Juniors sweep Odessa
Piecing together 17 hits and 25 runs, the Sedalia Junior American Legion baseball team (13-7) swept a doubleheader from Odessa on Tuesday at Liberty Park Stadium.
In the opener, Zac Callahan and Cody Kozak logged three RBIs each and Kozak tossed a complete-game gem to lead the Juniors to a 15-0 run-ruled win in four innings.
Kozak struck out seven and allowed just two hits and walked one over four frames for the victory.
Accompanying Kozak and Callahanís banner days, Jackson Smith tallied two hits and an RBI and Luke Archibeque reached base safely in three of his four plate appearances for an offense that pushed across four runs in the first and 11 in the second.
In the nightcap, Matt Miles and Steven Bradbury each drove in a pair of runs and Archibeque tossed the Juniorsí second complete game of the day in a 10-2, six-inning win.
Archibeque struck out six and allowed seven hits and two earned runs to earn the win for the Juniors, who scored one run in the third, eight in the fourth and one in the sixth.
