The second-seeded Central Missouri Jennies couldn’t overcome a 15-point second-half deficit Friday, and seventh-seeded Southwest Oklahoma State upset them 73-71 in the first round of the NCAA D-II Central Regional in Topeka, Kan.
With 4:12 remaining in the game, the Jennies began chipping away at Southwest Oklahoma’s lead, coming as close as two points. BreAnna Lewis’ third straight 3-pointer with 10 seconds left cut the lead to 73-71.
