Samantha Unkel went 3 for 4 with a double and one RBI, and was the winning pitcher Tuesday in top-seeded Green Ridge’s 11-0 victory over Smithton in the semifinals of the Kaysinger Conference softball tournament at Cole Camp.

Unkel struck out 10, walked  two and allowed three hits in six innings.

McKenzie Treese was charged with the loss.

Ragin Dillon and Libby Dove each went 3 for 4 for the Lady Tigers. One of Dillon’s hits was a double, and Dove had two RBIs to end the game in the sixth on the 10-run mercy rule.

Molly Turner went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, as Green Ridge improved to 7-4.

Green Ridge will meet second-seeded La Monte in the championship game at 6 p.m. today in Cole Camp.

Smithton will face Sacred Heart for third place at 4 p.m.
