Stover jumped out to a 10-3 lead after one quarter and beat La Monte 52-33 in a Kaysinger Conference girls basketball game on Thursday at Stover.

Stover (11-9, 6-2) extended the lead to 10 at halftime and pulled away by outscoring La Monte 15-7 in the fourth.

Amy Schroder had 17 points and six assists for Stover. Carley Nolting added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Cathy Butts led La Monte with 16 points. Sandra Arroyo added 11.

La Monte (9-8, 2-6) will open the Kaysinger Conference Tournament against Smithton at 7:30 tonight. The winner will advance to play Stover at 4 p.m. Saturday.
