The seventh-seeded Sacred Heart girls basketball team won its eighth straight game Saturday, upsetting No. 2 Sweet Springs 61-39 in the first round of the Class 2, District 14 tournament at Sweet Springs.
Sydney Smith scored 16 of her career-high 24 points in the first half. The Gremlins led 22-7 after one quarter and 38-16 at halftime.
