Cole Camp point guard Timothy Ward signed Thursday to play basketball at William Woods University.
Ward will also run track and cross country for the Fulton-based college.
During his four years playing at Cole Camp, Ward totaled 721 points, 650 assists, 245 steals and 450 rebounds.
In his senior year, Ward averaged 10 points per game, nine assists, five rebounds and shot 79 percent from the free throw line.
“Timothy has a great understanding of the game, playing for his dad (Tom Ward) who was the head coach at Cole Camp,” William Woods head coach Nick Totta said in a press release. “We feel like he is a player that as he continues to improve athletically is going to be a player who puts himself in a position to have the opportunity of being an impact player for our program.”
William Woods track/cross country head coach Daniel Radkowiec likes Ward’s athleticism.
“Timothy is a very good dual athlete,” Radkowiec said in a press release. “He is an untapped talent on the cross country and track courses. It will be very exciting to see him develop over the years.”
Ward plans to major in physical education while at William Woods.
