The Smith-Cotton Tigers moved one step closer to winning the West Central Conference boys soccer championship on Monday night at Clinton.

The Tigers (12-6) beat Clinton 3-1 to improve to 6-0 in the conference. They are the only WCC team without a loss with four games remaining.

S-C will host O’Hara  on Wednesday and Center on Thursday.

The Tigers will play a pair of road games next week: Tuesday at Warrensburg and Wednesday at St. Pius X.

Jacob Lamb had a hand in all of the Tigers’ goals Monday night. He scored the game-tying goal in the 32nd minute, and Jorge Salazar put away a Lamb feed with 21 seconds left in the first half.

Lamb scored a breakaway goal in the 76th minute.
