Northwest hit free throws to pull away in the fourth quarter and beat Stover 49-37 in the W-K Kaysinger Conference boys basketball tournament on Thursday at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
The teams were tied 10-10 after one quarter and 21-21 at halftime before Northwest pulled ahead by outscoring the Bulldogs 12-8 in the third quarter.
Cortlen Austin had 18 points and 15 rebounds for Northwest. Andrew Underwood added 12 points and Quincy Wicker scored 11.
Northwest will face Windsor in the fifth-place game at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Stover will host Smithton at 8 p.m. Monday.
