The Sweet Springs boys basketball team fell into an early hole Friday night and couldn't recover in a 55-51 loss to Santa Fe in an I-70 Conference matchup in Sweet Springs.

Santa Fe held quarter leads of 18-9, 38-18 and 43-29.

Jacob Schowengerdt scored a game-high 18 points for Sweet Springs. No other Sweet Springs player scored in double digits.
