The Hickman Kewpies’ Andrew Rosen pitched a no-hitter against the Smith-Cotton Tigers on Saturday night in the first round of the Class 5, District 9 baseball tournament in Jefferson City.

Fourth-seeded Hickman beat No. 5 Smith-Cotton 2-1.

Despite having no hits, the Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Dalton Christian. Hickman tied the score in the bottom of the inning and scored the go-ahead run in the fifth.

Christian was charged with the loss, striking out nine in six innings, according to columbiatribune.com.
