Isaac Calvert, of Smithton, won two events and led the Tigers to an eighth-place finish in the boys division of the Santa Fe Relays on Saturday in Alma.


Calvert won 1600-meter run in 5 minutes, 8 seconds, and he won the 3200 in 11:01.60.


The Tigers picked up an additional 17 points in the relays. They placed second in the 4x800 (9:47.2), fourth in the 4x400 (4:05.1), sixth in the 4x100 (56.4 seconds) and seventh in the 4x200 (1:56.6).


The Tigers finished with 38 points. Hardin-Central won with 162. The Sweet Springs Greyhounds were 11th with 21.


The Greyhounds earned 17 of their points in field events.


Sweet Springs’ girls placed seventh with 41.5 points thanks to Kati Viets’ win the shot put. Her was throw was 32 feet, 9 1/2 inches.


Thirty-seven of their points came from the field events.


Braymer won the girls championship with 118 points, Smithton was tied for 12th with 13, and Otterville was last in the 16-team field with one point.
