The Versailles Lady Tigers came out strong in the second half Thursday night and  beat the Warsaw girls basketball team 55-38 in a Tri-County Conference matchup at Warsaw.

Versailles outscored the Wildcats 23-7 in the third quarter. The Lady Tigers led 12-9 after one quarter, 23-17 at halftime and 46-24 after three quarters.

Akrista Greer scored a game-high 16 points for Versailles. Sarah Samson added 13.

Chelsea Murphy paced Warsaw with 13 points, and Jessica Blankinship had nine for the Wildcats, who  closed the season 5-19 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

Warsaw will begin district play Monday at Butler. The Wildcats will meet top-seeded Pleasant Hill at 4 p.m.
