Girls prep basketball: Pilot Grove 59, Higbee 40

Kerigan Wessing and Melissa Schlotzhauer combined for 41 points Friday night, and the Pilot Grove Tigers girls basketball team beat Higbee 59-40 in a Cooper County Activities Association matchup at Pilot Grove.

Wessing finished with a team-high 22 points, and Schlotzhauer had 19. McKalie Lorenz added 10 for the Tigers, who improved to 7-13 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
