John Gilger and Cole Simonocic, both of Smith-Cotton, were named to the Missouri Football Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.
All-state players must be nominated by their head coach, who must be a current member of the MFCA. They must be a starter or be a punter or a kicker in 70 percent of games. They must be a sophomore, junior or senior.
