Prep girls basketball: Applewood Christian 47, San Marcos (Texas) 35

The Applewood Christian girls basketball team opened the National Christian/Homeschool Basketball Championship on Tuesday with a 47-35 win over the Lady Panthers, of San Marcos, Texas.

The Lady Panthers took a 15-14 lead into the second quarter, but Applewood went ahead 32-21 at halftime and 42-27 after three quarters.
