The Wellington-Napoleon baseball team overcame a 3-0 deficit Saturday to beat Pilot Grove 8-4 at Windsor.
Wellington scored two runs in the third inning to slice Pilot Grove’s lead to 3-2 and added four in the fifth and two in the sixth to take control.
Jacob Beckemeyer was the winning pitcher. He gave up three runs on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts in six innings.
Alex Twenter was charged with the loss, permitting six runs on five hits with five walks and seven strikeouts in five innings.
Kendall Kraus went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Trevor Day went 2 for 4 with one RBI for Pilot Grove, which fell to 6-2.
