The Smith-Cotton track and field team edged Camdenton 143-140 to claims first place in the 11-team Bolivar Invitational on Thursday.
Jacob Lamb won both the 800 and 1600. Luke Rosendale won the 300 meter hurdles and was part of the winning 4x800 relay team alongside Taylor Gilliam, Kylen Williams and Brady Ritzert. Rosendale and Williams joined Luke Guier and Seth Redford to win the 4x400 relay. The 4x200 relays team of Guier, JD Hails, Austin LaBoube and Derrick Kerbo took second.
David Desmond took second in the 400 while Redford was second in the 110 hurdles.
Zack Volk was second in the pole vault.
The Lady Tigers finished ninth with 33 points.
Marionna Ward took third in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles and long jump. Makeeba Nash took fourth in the 100 and sixth in the 200.
The Smith-Cotton 4x100 relay team of Ward, Nash, Allison Sproles and Miranda Marshall took seventh while the 4x400 relay team of Rachel Howieson, Katlyn Geotz, Amy Galchenko and Jazmine Meyere took eighth.
Howieson also took eighth in the 1600 meters and Abby Perkins took eighth in the shot put and discus.
