Boys prep basketball: Ballard 52, Smithton 47
Despite 21 points by Dane Apsher and 12 by Preston McMullen on Thursday, the Smithton Tigers lost 52-47 to Ballard in the Leeton boys basketball tournament.
Smithton led the consolation semifinal 14-13 after one quarter, but Ballard rallied to take a 26-18 halftime advantage.
