Sacred Heart took fifth place in the Kaysinger Conference baseball tournament with a pair of run-rule 16-0 wins on Wednesday in Cole Camp.

The Gremlins beat Smithton 16-0 in the fifth-place game.

Chance Spangler threw five innings and allowed two hits and five walks while striking out five.

Gremlins leadoff hitter Ben Smeltzer went 3 for 3 and drove in five runs. Caleb Tanguay went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Clint Spangler hit a double and reached base three times.

Earlier, in the consolation semifinal, the Gremlins beat Green Ridge 16-0.

Kolin Brace threw five innings and allowed two hits and two walks, striking out six.

Clint Spangler went 2 for 2 with a double and a single. Chance Spangler went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Jackson Smith went 2 for 3.

Sacred Heart (9-4) will face New Franklin on Tuesday at Liberty Park.
