Prep baseball: Smithton 12, Lincoln 8

The Smithton Tigers scored five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to beat the Lincoln Cardinals 12-8 Tuesday in a Kaysinger Conference baseball game in Smithton.

The Tigers didnít hold a lead until the fifth inning when they went ahead 7-4. Lincoln scored four in the top of the sixth to retake the lead.

Preston McMullen pitched 1 1-3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win. Devon Strathman was charged with the loss.

Anthony Koeller went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to pace Smithton.
