The Wichita Wild held the Mid-Missouri Outlaws to 49 yards of total offense Saturday night en route to a 74-16 win.
The Wild (10-2) scored 28 first-quarter points en route to locking up the third seed for the Champions Professional Indoor Football League playoffs. They led 49-6 at halftime and 56-9 after three quarters.
The Outlaws, who finished the season 0-12, had two fumbles and one interception.
Josh Reid scored on a 2-yard pass from Damien Dunning for the Outlaws’ second-quarter touchdown. Derek Doerfler kicked a 41-yard field goal in the third, and Ken Davis returned an interception 27 yards for a fourth-quarter TD.
Sioux City (10-2) is the top seed for the playoffs and will host fourth-seeded Salina (9-3) in the semifinals. No. 2 Omaha (10-2) will host Wichita in the other semifinal. Both games are set for Saturday.
