Smith-Cotton goalkeeper Ryan Akin made a big save late in the second half Monday night to help the Tigers beat Camdenton 3-0 in nonconference boys soccer match in Camdenton.

The Tigers had a 2-0 lead when Akin stopped a penalty kick in the 70th minute. He made 10 saves to earn the win.

Luke Rosendale gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute. That lead stood until halftime. Derrick Amberg finished a penalty kick in the 49th minute for a 2-0 lead.

Jacob  Lamb added an insurance goal in the 78th minute.

Mike Pugh had two assists.

The Tigers (4-1) will face O’Hara on Wednesday in Kansas City. The JV match is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
