College men's basketball: Indian Hills 85, SFCC 82
Despite a game-high 28 points from Alfonzo Houston and 24 from Antonin Galaya, the State Fair Community College Roadrunners dropped their seventh-straight game on Wednesday, falling 85-82 to Indian Hills in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Galaya drained 8 of 16 3-pointers, but he missed an attempt on the final possession that would’ve tied the game.
“The team played extremely hard; we competed at a high level,” said SFCC coach Kevin Thomas. “The game went back and forth. In the second half, we got down by 13 and just chipped away. We had a shot to tie it at the end of the game.”
The Roadrunners (12-14) trailed 44-38 at halftime.
Lucas Kidane chipped in 15 points for the Roadrunners. Ayo Ojo pulled down a club-best 11 boards. Kenny Chery dished out a team-high nine assists.
Roderick Bobbitt and Jameel McKay each had 17 points to pace Indian Hills.
The game featured 10 lead changes and three ties.
