Curry, Ridgway compete in All-Star baseball game
Austin Ridgway, left, of Lincoln, and Rock Curry, a 2012 graduate of Sacred Heart School, played in the fourth annual Lions Club West Central Missouri Senior All-Star Baseball Game held June 30 at Crane Stadium in Warrensburg.
Curry, the starting third baseman, played for the North team, and Ridgway played for the South.
Curry went 2 for 5 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored in the Northís 19-3 win. He pitched one inning of relief, striking out two and inducing a groundout.
Ridgway started at catcher and had two walks and one run scored.
Both teens also play for the Versailles Senior Division team. Curry is the teamís starting third baseman, and Ridgway is the catcher.
The team was the runner-up in two tournaments this summer ó the Lebanon and Camdenton tournaments.
The Versailles squad will participate in a four-team tournament this weekend in Pilot Grove.
