Junior high basketball: La Monte teams wrap winning seasons

The La Monte junior high basketball teams recently completed their seasons.

The Lady Vikings finished 16-0 and won the Kaysinger Conference title for the first time since 1995. La Monte outscored their opponents by an average of 40-9.

Coached by John Curry and Jerri DeMotte, the team included Kylie Ball, Aliyah Mitchell, Rebecca Durham, Erin Pfeiffer, Maya Martin, Madison Harris, Kameron Morton, Vada DeMotte, Katie Patrick, Sandra Arroyo and McKayla Griffin.

The Viking boys team finished 12-4 and captured second place in the Kaysinger Conference tournament.

Coached by John Curry, the team included Trevor Ulm, Jason Thompson, Tristan Hackworth, Carlos Cardenas, Ty Pool, Chris Jaegars and Marcos Garcia.
