Mason Kelchner’s single plated Caleb Morrison in the sixth inning and Sacred Heart rallied past Northwest 5-4 on Thursday in a Kaysinger Conference game at Centennial Park.

Winning pitcher Cale Spangler struck out 13 in a complete-game effort, allowing two earned runs on seven hits.

Losing pitcher Cortlen Austin also threw a complete game, allowing four earned runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts.

Morrison had a solo home run and two RBIs and Spangler helped his own cause with an RBI.

The Gremlins (3-1, 2-0) trailed 3-1 after two innings and 4-2 after three innings before going ahead with a three-run sixth.
