Sam Houston football hires UCM's Fritz

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Sam Houston State has hired Willie Fritz as head football coach.
Fritz was announced Friday by the Football Championship Subdivision team after 13 seasons at Division II Central Missouri.
The 49-year-old Fritz was 97-47 at Central Missouri, becoming the first coach to lead the Mules to eight straight seasons of at least seven wins.
