State Fair sweeps to volleyball win

FAYETTE — The State Fair Community College volleyball team swept the Central Methodist University junior varsity 25-11, 25-17, 25-21 on Wednesday to improve its record to 2-4 on the season.
Ashlie Mayfield had 13 kills, six digs and three blocks for the Lady Roadrunners. Antonia Jones added nine kills and five digs, and Mindy Griffith led the defense with 20 digs.
Staci Waibel recorded 23 assists and five digs, and Julie Ohlms had 12 assists, seven kills and two aces.
SFCC will be back in action Wednesday at Longview Community College.
