Former WWE star, Japanese wrestlers coming to Sedalia

WLW heavyweight, tag-team champions on card

A former WWE star and three members of a Japanese professional wrestling promotion are scheduled to be on hand Sept. 22 for a World League Wrestling card at Convention Hall.

Simon Dean was the head of talent for the WWE’s developmental system, according to WrestlingRevealed.com.

Larry Hennig, former AWA world tag team champion, will escort his grandson Joe Hennig to the ring.

Takeshi Morishima, Naomichi Marufuji and KENTA will represent NOAH.

WLW heavyweight champion Dangerous Derek and WLW world tag team champions Dinn T. Moore and Branden Tatum will be featured in addition to a women’s title match.

Advance tickets cost $10 for general admission and $15 for ringside seats. They are available at Bing’s, Cash Saver, and Scotten’s Video, 100 W. Broadway Blvd. The remaining tickets will be available at the door for $12 for general

admission and $17 for ringside seats.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the first match to begin at 7 p.m.
