To allow more families to receive assistance this holiday season, Pettis County Community Santa has extended the application deadline to Tuesday, Dec. 1.
Applications can be picked up at Open Door Food Pantry, 111 W. Sixth St.; Pettis County Community Partnership, 1400 S. Limit Ave. Suite 29; or KDRO, 301 S. Ohio Ave. Completed applications can be mailed to Community Santa or dropped off at PCCP.
Community Santa provides holiday gifts to Pettis County families that can’t afford it, based on the state poverty guidelines. Community Santa also offers holiday assistance for elderly citizens.
Distribution days will be Dec. 8-10. Those picking up gifts will stand on the sidewalk outside Santa’s Workshop on the backside of the State Fair Shopping Center and show their number and photo ID through the window. A volunteer will then meet them at the door to hand over their bag of gifts. Families are asked to wear masks.
